The free NHS flu vaccine is eligible for adults aged 65 and over, pregnant women, individuals with chronic long-term conditions (like asthma, diabetes, or heart disease), and specific healthcare workers. If you do not qualify, you can easily book our private service instead.
If you have a minor illness without a fever, such as a mild cold, it is generally perfectly safe to receive your flu jab. However, if you have a high temperature or feel significantly unwell, we recommend rescheduling your clinic appointment until you have fully recovered.
Most patients experience only mild side effects, which typically resolve within one to two days. These can include a slight soreness, redness, or mild swelling at the injection site, alongside occasional mild muscle aches or a low-grade temporary temperature.
